Big Head Prawn (dai tao har)

If you’re staying in an apartment or condo or flat, more or less, there are parking lots provided inside the compound.
My house has two floors. Thus, we owned two parking lots. One belongs to dad and another belongs to mum. What about me? Park outside lor.
Everyday, I need to search for a place to park my car and pray for a good parking place.

[rachahwen.blogspot search engine]
Define: good parking place.
Definition: not more than 15 steps count from car to gate/guard house.

Sometimes God grant me a good parking place, sometimes He let me walk farther journey together with Him.
Every night, my car would have a new resting place.
Once I thought, would there be a day I can’t find my car since everyday I park at different place?
Thank God that my memory is good enough to remember where I parked my car last night(valid until yesterday).

TODAY is THE DAY!!!

This morning, as usual, I went out from home to work. I thought I parked my car at the guard house side(which is actually the place I parked the day before). Happily, I walked towards my car. When I was about to reach my car...
HURR??!!!! How come my car is in green color one??!!!
I was SHOCK!
Wait a minute…that is not my car. Then? Where is my car?
I thought it was at the other end of the road. So, I turned around and looked for my car. I passed by the guard house and I SAW MY CAR!! Guess what? It was inside my house compound!!
Ehhh?? How come???
Then only I remember that mum is not around. I parked my car at her parking lot last night.

Hahhaha….I was so blur…. =p

Remedy for Depression

"To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness" (Isa 61:2-3 NKJV).

A 1988 article in Psychology Today reported on an experiment involving 1700 women under stress. The women participated in various projects that involved helping other people. Within 30 days, 85 percent of the women reported that they had been relieved of stress symptoms that included "stress-related disorders such as headaches, voice loss and even pain accompanying lupus and multiple sclerosis."*

I suspect many people could save thousands of dollars on therapy and antidepressants if they would just take time to serve others. The best way to get beyond our pain is to get outside of it. I discovered this in my own journey through a particular dark time. I decided to serve others even though I was in great emotional pain. This had a remarkable positive effect on my emotional state.

When we refocus our attention on the needs of others when we ourselves are in turmoil, it allows the burden of our circumstance to be removed from us. The more one focuses on their own problem the more likely you are to become depressed.

Isaiah understood a principle that is still valid today. If you find yourself depressed because of a circumstance in your life, take Isaiah's advice-begin to praise the Lord in spite of the circumstances you see. Then you will see the spirit of heaviness begin to be lifted.
