Taiping trip

We organised a prayer trip to taiping. Seven of us went down during Raya break.

We met up Ps Bernard Teh from FGA Taiping, who has very close relationship with Ps Jerry, Ps Shirley, Ps Chee Keong and members in CCOP. I knew him since I was young. It has been years that I didn't see him but he still remember me. =)

We departed with a simple motive - jalan-jalan and pray. Later we found out that God has a wonderful plan in it. The intial idea of the trip is just for fun. I thought of Taiping. Why Taiping? That's because I thought of Taiping Zoo and Night Safari. =p Freddy then suggested that why not we make it a prayer + jalan-jalan trip because he felt the need of interceding for our country. We agreed. Another issue came out which is budget. Penang Hill prayer house appeared to be the best choice. Unfortunately it was fully booked. We then came to know that many churches too hold prayer meetings during Raya break. So left only Taiping. We called up Ps Bernard and he said that we can stay at his mission house and it's free!

Early morning, we departed from Penang. Reached there around 9.30am and had breakfast with Pastor. After breakfast, Pastor brought us to jalan-jalan and see the church. It's a 5 stories building located nearby Taiping city. They have main sanctuary, a chapel(1 floor) for youth and another(1 floor also) for children. Their roof top is available too! They always use it for some functions like BBQ. When we were at the roof top, a brother shared that one part of the building looks like a lighthouse. Then Pastor said that some pastors who came before too gave the same comment. After visiting the church building, we went back to the mission house and took a rest. It was just one hour away from lunch time so we decided to skipped our lunch because we had too much for breakfast. =p

The first day, we spent most of the time praying. The Lord is gracious and good to us. Everyone has experienced different and new encounter with God. We saw visions, proclaimed His words, sang new songs, etc. The sessions were simply GREAT!

At night, Pastor brought us to dinner and Elissa joined us too. She's mine, Freddy and Steven's senior in TARC CF. She is attending FGA Taiping too. (The world is so small right) After dinner, we continued another prayer session, Pastor joined us too. The Lord blessed us and spoke to us through His servant. We're greatly blessed!

After prayer session, we went to pasar malam. The pasar malam there is not much different from a morning market, just that it operates at night only. When we were heading back to the van, guess what? We met Ivan! hehehe..

Everyday 6 in the morning, FGA people will gathered together to pray. Pastor invited us to join and we joined. They blessed us and we blessed them too. =) So ngam, today is Pastor's wife's birthday! We sang a birthday song for her. ^^

After breakfast, we went to Taiping Lake Garden. Wow~ the scenery is really BEAUTIFUL~~~

Then, we went back to church for the last session. When we just finished the prayer session, Pastor told us that there's a group led by Pastor Chan came from Ipoh church to pray for every churches in Taiping. The group of intercessor reached while we're having bible study. So we prayed together and prayed for each other and they left to their next station.

Pastor Bernard shared with us that this church has a call to be the lighthouse. He thought of 24/7 prayer too but doesn't really know where to start. He shared that God is gracious enough to send people to Taiping to pray. They just came and told Pastor that they would like to intercede for the church and Taiping. Yea..God's good all the time. The Lord shall provide!

It was noon, we took our lunch and balik~

Little gifts

This is... kononnya... biscuit la.

Last two Saturday I had a family of five(daddy, mummy and 3 daughters) came to my center to make enquiry about the program.
After explanation, they would like two of their daughters sit for Diagnostic test.
So I gave them the test, and did the consultation after the test.
When I was talking to the parents, the youngest daughter kept giving me biscuit.
I think she's only 1plus.
She gave me one, I kept it(was talking to the parents ma, not good if i eat it).
Then she passed me another one, then I kept it.
Again she gave me another one!
After that, finished consultation and they were ready to go. So they left.
I was thinking if they were to be there for longer hour will she continue to give me?
=)

Cuti-cuti

After working for few years, it seems that holiday has become part of the year plan. Some of my colleagues would go for holiday every year. Last year Bali, this year Hong Kong, next year Cambodia.

Year 2009 I went to Bali with Kath, Mun, Dong, Jin, and Sheng. On the last day in Bali, Sheng said everyone keep one 100 ruphia this year, next year 'yen'. Wow~ Hokkaido!!!

"Where are you travelling to next year?" Yun asked.
"Dunno yet. =)" I answered.

I have a few invitations but I'm yet to decide which one to go.
Unlike Bali trip, we decided it in 2-3days time.
This time..err..errr...errrr....dunno le.

Blessed Saturday =)

My friend bought me breakfast

Mrs Yong, my student's mum bought me these for lunch knowing that I can only have my lunch the earliest after 2pm because my class ends at 2pm.

New Version of FOOTPRINTS

Imagine you and the Lord Jesus are walking down the road together. For much of the way, the Lord's footprints go along steadily, consistently, rarely varying the pace.

But your footprints are a disorganized stream of zigzags, starts, stops, turnarounds, circles, departures, and returns.

For much of the way, it seems to go like this, but gradually your footprints come more in line with the Lord's, soon paralleling, His consistently.

You and Jesus are walking as true friends!

This seems perfect, but then an interesting thing happens: Your footprints that once etched the sand next to Jesus' are now walking precisely in His steps.

Inside His larger footprints are your smaller ones, you and Jesus are becoming one..

This goes on for many miles, but gradually you notice another change. The footprints inside the large footprints seem to grow larger.

Eventually they disappear altogether. There is only one set of footprints. They have become one.

This goes on for a long time, but suddenly the second set of footprints is back. This time it seems even worse! Zigzags all over the place. Stops. Starts. Gashes in the sand. A variable mess of prints.

You are amazed and shocked. Your dream ends. Now you pray: 'Lord, I understand the first scene, with zigzags and fits. I was a new Christian; I was just learning. But You walked on through the storm and helped me learn to walk with You.'

'That is correct.'
'And when the smaller footprints were inside of Yours, I was actually learning to walk in Your steps, following You very closely..'

'Very good.. You have understood everything so far..' When the smaller footprints grew and filled in Yours, I suppose that I was becoming like You in every way.'

'Precisely.'
'So, Lord, was there a regression or something? The footprints separated, and this time it was worse than at first.'

There is a pause as the Lord answers, with a smile in His voice.

'You didn't know? It was then that we danced!'

To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: A time to weep, a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance. Ecclesiastes 3:1-4
