Making vow

Last week, we had bible study on the book of Numbers with Dr Paul Tan. Unlike the Israelite in old testament, nowadays we seldom make vow except only on wedding day. He shared with us a brother's life experience when we came to the point of making vow. He told us that that brother who used to fail in sustaining a relationship wherever he starts one in his younger days. He was so sick of the failure until one day he told the Lord, "God, if you need a single man, here I am." But eventually the outcome tells a different story. He got married. Now he has a lovely wife, two lovely daughter and a lovely church. Dr Paul Tan was trying to tell us that we don't need to worry or decide on our relationship status because God has a better plan for us, and don't simply make any vow.
